    Project Planning

    It all begins with an idea. Maybe you need to add color and personality to your builder-grade home. Maybe you want to rethink the layout of your primary living spaces or put on an addition. Whatever it is, we help you refine your ideas and develop a plan to turn them into reality.

    During the planning phase, we will draft your property and present layout concepts to review together. Once a layout is selected, we will determine the feasibility of the project with site surveys, engineering, and budget considerations. Once your project scope is solidified, we will host a trades day for hard bids on all work to be performed and review these together before entering a construction agreement.

    Drafting & 3D Rendering

    During the design development phase, our ideas will be illustrated to you through 2-dimensional concept boards as well as 3D renderings, giving you the chance to preview the way your selections will look — as a collection and in your home.

    Providing this extra step to our clients is an important differentiator that allows us to take the guesswork out of your decision-making, meaning you can move through the selection process with less stress and more peace of mind.

    Selections & Procurement

    The selections and purchasing phase can take several weeks or several months, depending on the scope and size of your project. It is our goal to have all detailed selections made and approved prior to beginning procurement, to avoid budget surprises or restocking charges if decisions change after it has been purchased.

    Stockwell Homes acts as purchasing agent for all materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment for your project. We pay careful attention to the details of each item’s size and finish, but also factor in lead times and availability to be sure your project stays on track.

    All custom items, furniture and materials are received and stored by our local warehouse until they are ready to be installed in your home.

    Construction + Styling

    We work with talented and trusted tradespeople to perform any needed construction on your property.

    Depending on the scope of your project, this may be a light refresh involving paint, wallcoverings, window treatments, or new carpet. For larger projects, this may require a full gut of an area of your home or require relocating your family to temporary housing to allow for construction that would be uncomfortable or unsafe for occupants.

    Once construction is complete, we coordinate the installation and styling of all furniture, art, and accessories to ensure no design detail is overlooked, and your space is completed to perfection.

Consultations

    Plan Review

    Space planning is an essential element of how your new home build or remodel will function - but often you do not see issues until it is too late.

    Call us and we will help you avoid pitfalls — regardless of your geographical location. Stockwell Homes has worked with clients around the country to review plans, and when necessary, redo them!

    We provide a detailed report on the spatial layout, give you things to think about that might not have been brought up, and do an intense look at any issues in the kitchen, bath, or other living spaces.

    Working on an hourly basis, we can do as much or as little as you need. Sometimes we will assess a flat rate fee for our involvement if it is more intensive in nature.

    We will review drawings provided by you from your architect or builder and thoroughly examine them for any potential issues or possible improvements. This may include any functional concerns, architectural or style details that will enhance the liveability and enjoyment of your home.

    Color Consultations

    Years of experience working with color give us insight into how colors behave in different types of rooms and lighting.

    We offer interior and exterior paint consultations. Contact us with the scope of your work and we can provide an estimate for your project.

    Whether we are building on other existing finishes in your home or starting from scratch, the color palette of your home is a foundational first step to achieving the warmth and personality that will define your space.

    Along with any consultation, we provide you with large color card samples from Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore so you can more effectively see the colors in person and onsite without having to waste time and money on sampling paint.
