Drew Avenue: A Study In Interiors

Located in Minneapolis’ Linden Hills neighborhood, this project was designed for a young family returning to the Twin Cities after years spent living in California. While the home had recently undergone a full remodel prior to their purchase, the interiors still lacked the warmth, personality, and layered functionality needed to truly feel like home.

Stockwell Homes was brought in to furnish and refine the primary living spaces through thoughtful space planning, lighting, wallpaper, paint, and custom furnishings — transforming a beautifully renovated house into a deeply personal family home.

One of the greatest challenges of the project was working within the home’s architecturally constrained footprint. Many of the rooms were modest in scale with difficult window and door placements that limited furniture layouts and interrupted natural circulation. Through careful editing, layered materials, and highly intentional furnishings, each space was designed to feel calm, cohesive, and far more expansive than its footprint would suggest.

The result is a home that balances California ease with the warmth and character of Linden Hills living — collected, inviting, and designed for the rhythms of everyday family life.
